We are seeking a sales professional with a good engineering or physics background to lead Vector Fields sales activity in the USA .  Based in Aurora IL, you will be responsible for selling Vector Fields products and services throughout the USA and Canada .  

The ideal candidate should have MS Physics or Engineering degree, a sound track record in selling engineering software, experience managing a sales and support team, a background in computational electromagnetics, and experience in the engineering applications we sell into, such as electrical machines.

Dexter Magnetic Technologies (www.dextermag.com) is a leader in Magnetic technology and applies its deep technical expertise to design and manufacture solutions to industrial problems. Dexter is a privately held company headquartered in Elk Grove Village , IL and with two manufacturing facilities. Dexter has been experiencing significant growth, domestically and internationally. This position is newly created to continue to drive and support this growth and can be based either in Elk Grove Village or out of a home office.

1. Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:

  • To identify, develop and capture significant value-added business opportunities within the assigned territory, by leveraging the company’s technical expertise.

  • To maintain relationships with key accounts

  • To participate in the development and implementation of business plans to increase sales.

2. Ideal Profile:

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in selling by solving technical problems and in capturing the value delivered through value based pricing. The ideal candidate is comfortable defining solutions for prospects, not just selling a portfolio of existing products. He/she is a creative problem solver, a quick learner and a good negotiator.

On the other hand, the ideal candidate is not bored by replicating sales to different customers in the same market and can execute an individual market strategy. He/she is comfortable prospecting and maintaining relationships with existing customers to uncover more opportunities.

Excellent communications skills, written and verbal and the ability to work with the rest of the organization are required skills.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, preferably in EE , ME or Metallurgical Engineering.

  • Knowledge of Magnetics is valued but not required.

  • Knowledge of Medical Equipment markets a plus, but not required.

The person in this position will enjoy the support of Applications Engineers, inside Sales, Business/Market Managers in some markets and a growing R&D department.

PROJECT MANAGER

Magnet Sales & Manufacturing / Integrated Magnetics is seeking a Project Manager.

Summary:

Provide project management support to the business unit, review customer design and performance requirements, test requirements and coordinate with the team to supply quality products on-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for:
    • profitability.

    • production design, development, tooling, quality and process from drawing board through shop floor to customer.
  • Review the RFQ (Request For Quote) package for manufacturing and quality requirements with the business team and co-ordinate to get the quote and lead time to the customer.
  • Assist customer with concurrent engineering support, in order to develop cost effective and manufacturable products. Provide services like design and FEA.
  • Organize NPD (New Product Development) meetings with the team; review the contract and other documentation before processing the purchase order.
  • Generate the manufacturing and tooling drawings.
  • Generate work-instructions, routers and procedures for various processes to meet the final product requirements per ISO standards.
  • Assist in day-to-day production/assembly issues and MRB activities.
  • Support the business unit and customers with the day-to-day requirements.
  • Terminal responsibility to co-ordinate the project with planning, purchasing and quality departments from every aspect:
    • Cost
    • Quality
    • On-time Delivery
    • Scheduling
    • Concurrent Engineering

REGIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER

Magnet Sales & Manufacturing / Integrated Magnetics is seeking a Regional Business Manager.

Job Description:

  • Knows sales tools and is able to sell technical products on the phone and in person.
  • Identifies target markets and focuses on potential customers in his region
  • Well versed in all magnet materials and the various manufacturing techniques.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of our competition and understands their position in the industry.
  • Understands magnet design and applications.
  • Suggests certain types of magnets during customer discussions.
  • Provides his PM with all details he and the team need for a quote.
  • Provides his PM with the complete drawing package and formal PO.
  • Able to conduct an engineering discussion on any application.
  • Able to make formal presentations to potential customers.
  • Able to identify possible design problems and recommend design improvements.
  • Proactive cold calls to potential prospects.
  • Prepares quotes for customers and follows up to close the sale.
  • Reviews estimates and helps customers reduce cost.
  • Keeps project team posted about important information he obtains from customer.
  • Assists in the collections efforts when requested by Accounting.
  • Able to use and navigate through the MSM business system (M2M).
  • Develops and reviews contracts for large accounts.
  • Reviews Non-Disclosure Agreements and handles the paper work.
  • Traveling to visit customers extensively.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales related procedures of ISO 9000:2000.
  • Assumes other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the department Supervisor or Department Manager.

Job Requirements (minimum):

  • BS degree in any engineering faculty.
  • 6 years experience in engineering, design and/or technical sales.
  • Knows the region he should work in.
  • Must be well-organized.
  • Highly interested in magnetic applications.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills.
